"I am a graduate of UMass Dartmouth, where I earned a BFA in Textile Design. In 1986, I moved to New York City to work as a fabric designer for West Point Pepperell. I later moved to Georgia to continue my career with Milliken Fabrics. My job involved working with furniture manufacturers, forecasting color trends, meeting with customers, and traveling the world attending trade shows and seminars. I eventually left the world of fabric design to raise my family."

"My second career is driven by a lifelong passion for sewing and quilting that has delighted me since childhood. By high school, I had become an accomplished seamstress, working on numerous projects. During that time, I became interested in traditional quilting, winning second place in the New England Quilters Guild annual junior quilters contest. Today, I’m combining my expertise in fabric design with the art of traditional quilting to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are both practical and unique."

Shirt Off Your Back Quilts!

How my first t-shirt quilt was born...

Several years ago, faced with piles of outgrown t-shirts, I decided to clean up some clutter and memorialize my kids’ attachment to the wonderful shirts they had collected.

Now my family could keep the shirts they loved, and we had more drawer space…. for more shirts of course!

After sewing many quilts for friends and family, I decided that maybe other folks would enjoy preserving their t-shirt collections in this unique way. For many people, t-shirts make great memories. Whether it was your first marathon, your 20th Peachtree Road Race, or a t-shirt from that once-in-a-lifetime trip, t-shirts remind you of accomplishments, travel, and special experiences.

Let me turn your souvenirs into a quilt that you can cherish forever.

Just think of all that drawer space you’ll have to add more memories to!
